I'm running for City Council for Richland Washington, position 2. Much of my life I’ve tried to serve others. Starting as a boy scout, then in church activities, then as a pastor, then as a teacher in Asia, and the last 10 years trying to get alternative political movements off the ground. I grew up in Richland. This community has given me a lot and now I wish to give back.
Voting for me will bring into office someone who will listen to all voices, not just the loudest. I will find ways of reaching out, gathering ideas and opinions from every corner of our community so that everyone is heard. I will fight for you and ask the tough questions again and again. For instance, was there a better way to pay for the Duportail bridge that was more equitable than a $20 car tab fee?
I have been endorsed by the Alliance party of Washington. We must plan and work for the future of our community, from disaster preparedness, to new economic investment, to upgrading our infrastructure. Our city is already the best city in our country. We can be even better together in the future. We can improve our city, while not leaving anyone behind.
